Krakow John Paul II International Airport sits 11 km from the Old Town, which puts the A4 between you and the city and very little else. Balice runs a single passenger terminal, so every arrival leaves through the same doors: one place to stand, one face to look for. The drive itself takes 20 to 30 minutes. The hour before it is the one that costs you: an inbound that lands late, a belt that will not start, four passengers with more luggage than one sedan holds.
