    The trip

On your schedule, both sites in one day

Auschwitz-Birkenau and the Wieliczka Salt Mine lie on opposite sides of Kraków, and most tours that combine them in one day run on a bus timetable, with one departure time and one pace for the whole group. We run the same day privately. Your chauffeur collects you from your address at the hour you choose, waits at both sites while you visit, and shapes the route around your entry times rather than the other way round. The full day takes 11–12 hours, at one fixed price per vehicle.

The day typically begins at the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum, about a 1.5-hour drive from central Kraków. Plan around 3.5 hours on site to walk both parts of the former camp, Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II-Birkenau. The Memorial asks for unhurried time and attention, and a private car gives you both: your chauffeur stays with the vehicle until you are ready to leave, however long the visit takes.

A lunch stop at a local restaurant divides the day (the meal itself is not part of the tour price). From there it is about an hour's drive to Wieliczka, where the mine's underground route leads through chambers, sculptures and underground lakes carved from rock salt, including St. Kinga's Chapel with its salt crystal chandeliers. The visit below ground takes around 2-3 hours, and your chauffeur again waits above until you surface.

We provide the transport: a Mercedes with an English-speaking chauffeur, door-to-door from your accommodation, with waiting at both sites part of the same booking. You book entry tickets and the official on-site guides at both the Memorial and the mine separately, or tell us when booking and we will help arrange them for your date.

    Questions travellers ask

Can you visit Auschwitz and the Wieliczka Salt Mine in one day?

Yes, with a full day. Plan around 3.5 hours at the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial, 2-3 hours in the mine, roughly 1.5 hours of driving to the Memorial, an hour between the sites, the return drive, and a lunch stop: 11–12 hours in total, counted from a Kraków start. The booking form shows the available pickup zones, Kraków by default; a start from another city makes the day longer. A private car makes the timing workable because you leave each site when you are ready, not when a group timetable says so.

Are entry tickets and guides included in the price?

No. The price covers your private transfer: the vehicle, the chauffeur, and the full day of driving and waiting. Entry passes and the official guides at both the Memorial and the mine come separately. Tell us when booking and we will help arrange them for your date, or contact us with any questions before you book.

Which site do we visit first?

Auschwitz-Birkenau in the morning and Wieliczka after lunch is the typical order, and it is the one shown in the itinerary above. It is not fixed. If your entry times fall differently, we run the day in whichever order fits them.

What does the chauffeur do while we are inside?

Waits with the car. At both sites your chauffeur stays at the parking area for the entire visit, with nobody else's timetable to watch. When you come out, you drive on.

What if we only want to see one of the sites?

Each site has its own trip: the private Auschwitz-Birkenau tour and the Wieliczka Salt Mine tour. The same rules apply there: you set the pickup time and your chauffeur waits while you visit.

    How does the pricing work?

One fixed price per vehicle, confirmed when you book: the same whether you travel alone or fill every seat. It covers the entire 11–12-hour day, all driving, and all waiting time at both sites. Lunch and entry tickets are separate.
